An Iranian newspaper has called Carla Bruni, France’s first lady, a ‘prostitute’ after she attacked Iran’s plan to stone a woman to death.
The President’s wife is part of a campaign to save the life of 43-year-old mother of two, Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani.
Ashtiani is accused of cheating on her husband and then helping to kill him.
She is now facing capital punishment for her crimes.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has criticised the unilateral US and EU sanctions on Iran that go beyond those approved by the UN Security Council.
He said Russia “did not agree” to any separate sanctions when it backed a joint UN resolution last week.
Meanwhile, Pentagon chief Robert Gates said US intelligence showed that Iran could be able to attack Europe with “scores” of missiles by 2020.

كشفت دورية “أميريكان ثينكر” في تقريراً نشرته الأربعاء عن أن الرئيس الأمريكي باراك أوباما أقسم أمام أحمد أبو الغيط وزير الخارجية، أنه مسلم ومن أب مسلم وأن حماه مسلم، كما أن له أخوة غير أشقاء في كينيا مسلمين، وأنه مخلص للأجندة الإسلامية.
وأضاف التقرير، أن أبو الغيط خلال ظهوره على قناة “تايل تي في” الناطقة بالإنجليزية قال أن أوباما يطالب العالم الإسلامي بالتحلي بالصبر حتى يفرغ من بعض المشاكل الداخلية (قضية التأمين الصحي)، وسيريهم ما سيفعله مع إسرائيل.
