Egyptian security forces and Hamas militants strung barbed wire across one of the openings in the Egypt-Gaza border Monday — a sign that a days-long breaching of the frontier may be nearing an end.

Three trucks of Egyptian security forces pulled up to the “Brazil” gate and strung wire across the entry point into Egypt. They were aided by half a dozen bearded and uniformed militants of Hamas, the group that controls the Gaza Strip.

At the main Salah Eddin gate, meanwhile, Palestinian and Egyptian security forces manned the crossing points, stopping civilian cars and letting trucks through, while pedestrians scoured the nearly empty stores for food and consumer products to take back to the Gaza Strip with them in fear of an imminent border reclosing.

Israel’s attorney general says no policemen will be prosecuted over the killing of 13 Arab Israeli protesters in 2000.
Menachem Mazuz said there was insufficient evidence to pursue a prosecution against officers who opened fire during anti-government riots.

The unrest erupted in sympathy with the Palestinian uprising against Israel.

Relatives of the victims were angry at the decision. One said it “gives the green light for attacks on Arabs”.

A roadside bomb killed five American soldiers Monday in the northern province described as one of al-Qaida in Iraq’s last strongholds, just days after a massive house explosion and suicide attack killed 40 people in the provincial capital.

The military did not immediately provide more details on Monday’s bombing in Ninevah province. On Sunday, Iraqi army reinforcements moved into positions near the provincial capita of Mosul, 225 miles northwest of Baghdad, ahead of a planned offensive announced by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

Heavily armed militants took around 250 children hostage at a school in Pakistan Monday but freed them after tense negotiations with tribal elders, the interior ministry said.

Rebels armed with rocket launchers holed up at the school in the remote village of Domail in North West Frontier Province after a failed attempt to abduct a local official that left one of their men dead, they said.

Police surrounded the building while tribesmen negotiated with the insurgents, who had demanded safe passage in exchange for the release of the pupils, aged between eight and 12.

The Lebanese army remains on high alert a day after bloody clashes involving troops and Shia demonstrators.
Seven people died as troops tried to remove barricades of burning tyres during a protest over power cuts in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The Western-backed government has declared Monday a day of mourning, with schools and universities shut.

Lebanon has had no president amid disputes between the government and the Syria-backed opposition since November.

Officials in Tehran have announced that Iran is close to restoring full diplomatic relations with Egypt.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said that the relationship was “going ahead in a natural way”.

The countries have not had full diplomatic ties since the Iranian Islamic revolution in 1979.

The announcement follows a recent thaw in relations, including a landmark phone call between presidents Mubarak and Ahmadinejad last week.

رفضت فتاة بقنا الزاوج من مزارع بعد أن تقدم إلى أسرتها للزواج منها، فقرر المزارع الانتقام من الفتاة وأفقدها عذريتها وهتك عرضها بالقوة.

قام الجاني باقتحام منزل أسرتها بعد الاستعانة بعدد من أقاربه وقيدوا الفتاة بالحبال وهتكوا عرضها بالقوة.

كان مدير أمن قنا قد تلقى بلاغاً بقيام 6 أشخاص باقتحام منزل أحد المزارعين بمنطقة أرمنت ، وقاموا بإغتصاب ابنة صاحب المنزل بالقوة .

تبين من التحريات أن أحد المتهمين مزارع يدعى (عبد العزيز سلمان محمد) قد تقدم لخطبة أحد الفتيات إلا أن أسرتها رفضت لوجود اسم شهرة له يطلق بين الفتيات وبعضهن ، فقرر الانتقام منها وارتكب جريمته البشعة.

في حادثة ليست الاولى من نوعها ولم تكن مستغربة قام نجم المنتخب المصري والنادي الأهلي محمد أبو تريكة بالتعبير عن فرحته بالهدف الذي سجله لفريقه بإعلان تضامنه مع الشعب الفلسطيني المحاصر في قطاع غزة.
